Daffodil Show : March 22-23, 2008
Springtime in Humboldt County means daffodils! The 33rd annual Daffodil Show features over 600 varieties of the sunny flowers on display. This is one of three major daffodil shows in the state, drawing amateur growers and professional propagators from California and Oregon.
Headwaters Forest Hikes : Weekends, May through second week of November
Information: Bureau of Land Management 707-825-2300
Guided three-mile hikes to view Headwaters Forest are available on weekends May through the second week of November, weather permitting. Reservations are required.
Farmer's Market : May - October, 2008 (only on Tuesday)
Fortuna's Certified Farmers' Market takes place every Tuesday at 10th and Main Streets from June to October. More than a market, this community event is from 3pm until closing. See friends, listen to live music, and shop for fresh produce, live plants, jellies, condiments, honey, smoked fish and much more.

It's the biggest sale of its kind in the history of Humboldt County. From Main Street to side streets the whole town is getting in on the act!
Art & Wine in the Park : Sunday, June 8, 2008
A family event in Rohner Park with live music, artists and craftsmen, also wine and food samples.
Rodeo : July 14-20, 2008
Complete with Rodeo Queen and parade, this week-long family festival is the oldest and longest running annual rodeo on the north coast.
AutoXpo : Friday July 25-27, 2008
The Cruise, a popular parade of show cars, kicks off this 3 day event of arts and crafts exhibitors, antique show, antique farm equipment, and, of course, cars from all over the western states.

Beer tastings, live music and home brew demos highlight this beer and brewing event in Rohner Park Apple Harvest Festival - Family fun day that includes an old fashioned downtown fair, a barbecue, live music, free apple cider and food tasting.
redwood Festivals - Concert Series Fortuna Concert Series : September 2008-May 2009 (excluding December)
Beginning in September, a monthly concert series of local, national and international performers of classical, jazz, folk, ethnic, vocal, and instrumental music.
Redwood Festivals - Apple harvest Days 24th Apple Harvest Festival : Saturday, October 4, 2008
Held in October, this festival is a combination farm event, historical celebration and family fun day, featuring an old fashioned downtown fair, apple pie sales, a barbecue, free hayride transpotation and lots more!

Four homes, decorated for the holidays, are selected for this annual self guided tour. Four unique themes and four different homes every year.
Electric Lighted Parade : December 12, 2008
Friday, starts at 6:30 p.m.
Fortuna boulevard and Main Street

Bundle up and watch the big rigs, floats and other vehicles decked out in festive lights. Leaves Redwood Village Shopping Center at 6:30 p.m. and travels through town to Downtown Fortuna. Entries will be displayed in the streets from 9th to 12th Streets.
